The grinds classes in Carlow are held in Teach Failte (IWA Premises) on the Kilkenny Road (near the Institute of Technology). Here students can attend a wide range of “computer led” revision classes. They can also attend supervised study if they wish.

The way it works is simple:

The classes are pre-recorded by expert teachers using the latest technology. They are then shown to the students via a large screen. A class supervisor is always in attendance to keep an eye on things. A big advantage is that all the notes are given to students in advance. They don’t have to worry about missing a thing.

The same material is covered in Carlow as the other centres in Kilkenny, Cavan and Navan. All homework is corrected by the teachers and returned to the student the following week. Supervised study is also available.

A new online system is being developed to record all attendance details and homework results. This will allow students and their parents to log on to the website and track progress.

If you are a Leaving Cert student in Carlow and wish to attend a grinds class in Higher Level maths as well as supervised study, you will get:

• 1 hour fully supervised computer led revision class per week
• Prepared notes and folder
• Homework correction
• Free grinds online including 100’s of video tutorials and revision notes
• Online system where you and your parent can track progress
• 8 hours supervised study per week (7 - 9pm, Monday to Thursday)

All for only €35 per week
